Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (RA) is a very significant personality in history books but he remained always a symbol of brilliance and courage in the face of adversity.Anybody who is interested in history or Islamic studies will find it very interesting to learn from the life of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed.
He is known as Saifullah (Sword of Allah) till now , and he is from the very few army generals in the world who have won more than a hundred battles without a single defeat with the name of God . you can read the story of transformation of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed from enemy of Islam to the most courged and undefeated general of Islam
1) The starting years:
Khalid bin Waleed was born in 583 CE in Mecca belong to one of the most Nobel tribe Banu Makhzum. His family was rich and got the authority to the "War Department" of the Quraysh.
Growth:
Khalid was exposed to the enemy tribes in the young age to learn war tactics, which was a common practice for ARABIC families to make them hardy and self confident

His father, Walid bin al-Mughirah, was the one who trained his son by him self. By the time he was a teenager, Khalid had grown to be over six feet tall and a powerful personality. healthy and power ful body and phisique and became expert in all weapons at that time he also become so intelligent to take decision related to wars

in the battle of Uhud Khalid was a great opponent for Muslims and . In the battle of Uhud he was the one who noticed that the unresponsibility by the Muslim archers that left there posts their posts on the hill. So he attacked back again and the Muslims got tough time due to his intelligence and cleverly he was the great threat to his opponents
2) The Conversion: A Change of Heart
After that Khalid realized that the Islam is the best religion and he embraced Islam After the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, he become aware of the strength of character and the truth of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) message that he gave to the world
In the year 629 CE (8 AH), Khalid went to Medina. he met the Prophet (PBUH), he requested for only one thing to prophet "he requested to ask Allah to forgive me for everything I did against the Muslims." The Prophet (PBUH) smiled and said that Islam erases all sins of the past life . After that he become the most brave and powerful commander of Islam and the sword that was one against Islam become the most power ful and greatest sword of Islam destroying every single great power that stands against Islam

Khalid bin Waleed was assigned to protect the Islamic State’s borders during; the time of the first Caliph, hazrat Abu Bakr (RA).

All the tribes started revolt against the Prophet’s death, but Khalid brought Arabia under one rule.It was the battle of Yamama, where he fought Musaylima,
The Conquest of Iraq and Syria
Khalid then turned his attention to the two great nations of that time that wanted to crush the rising Islam but they forget about the sword of Allah which was ready against every enemy of Islam

4) The Dismissal: A Test of Character
At the highest strength; Hazrat umer removed him from the command this decision shooked Muslim world
Umar (RA) explained that the firing was not due to any wrongdoing or corruption of khalid His concern was that people may soon think that the victory was due to Khalid , and not due to Allah.
“‘I want the people to believe that Allah is the who grants victory, not Khalid the Caliph declared.”
Khalid reaction on the decision of Hazrat UMER showed his true greatness he did not stand against hazrat UMER but resigned the post and agreed to fight in private under new commander
His worlds are remarkable in the history of Islam

khalid said that when ever he fought a battle
he tries to jump in the army of enemy alone to find martyrdom but that time never came and everytime he came out of the ranks of enemies by defeating them all
During his final years, Khalid ibn al-Walid had a quiet and mournful life in Homs, which is currently the in of Syria. By 642 CE, at the time when he was at his death bead tears came out of his eyes
He showed the visitors who gathered around him his body was marked from head to toe with the scars of sword, spear, and arrow. He said that after a life spent in the search for martyrdom in many battles, he is on his deathbed “like a camel” near his death
No doubt that the sword of Allah remain undefeated till end of his life he is the greatest known general in the history of the world
